Drury himself wasn't in costume, but he usually stripped himself of it as soon as he got home, hiding that part of his identity behind a rotating wall in his bedroom. It was where he stored all of his crime-doing equipment - the Killer Moth costume, the cocoon gun. Anyone coming into the apartment had no idea that the man who lived there had once tried to be Gotham's villainous answer to Batman.
"Thanks for coming, the pizza just got here! Come on in." If he's at all fazed by the fact that she's in costume, he doesn't show it. It's not as if there haven't been other costumed villains showing up at his place.
Once she enters, she'll see Missy lounging on an armchair, pawing at a toy shaped like a Jokerized fish. The things you can buy in Gotham.
Oh wow. This was a nice big house. It almost reminded her of...no, don't go there. Nobody wants a downer. Sally stepped inside and removed her boots to leave near his door.
"No problem. Nice digs you got here." She pulled off her mask and hat to leave on the couch when she spotted the cat. With a Joker fish toy of all things. This town was going to hell.
"Hey, kitty kitty. Pssp pssp pssp." She let out a hand for Missy to sniff.
"It's amazing what you can buy in what's considered the bad part of town." The part of Gotham that Drury lived in - Gotham Village - was old, antiquated, populated with classic brownstones that had since fallen into disrepair. The neighbourhood wasn't as bad as the Narrows or the East End, but it wasn't Cherry Hill or Park Ridge, either. Still, when Sherman Fine - aka the Broker, real estate agent to Gotham's criminals - had showed Drury this place, it had been a quick and easy sell. "The Carpenter was a big help in getting all of this fixed up and livable, though." Thank god for villains who put their skills to otherwise professional uses. She was the one who had suggested the fake wall in Drury's room that lead to his, er, Moth Closet.
Missy, for her part, rumbled out a soft purr and flopped on her back, clearly eager to receive pets from Sally. Drury made a mental note to make sure that Missy never came across Catwoman. He was sure Missy'd just up and run away with the feline felon.
"Thanks for coming, by the way. I know that weird muppet porn isn't the highest of psychological emergencies in Gotham."
She laughed, "To be honest I wasn't sure how serious you were about the muppet porn bit so I did come to hang out and listen if you needed to talk about anything. Muppet porn, Batman, Firefly. I only bring Garfield up because I checked on him the other day."
Sitting on the couch she began to stroke Missy's soft black fur, "Aw now she's precious."
((OOC: a;lsfjka;sdlfj I am so sorry this is late.))
"More serious than I would have liked to be, if we're being honest. Which, hi, I guess we are." As he spoke, he brought the pizza boxes over to the coffee table, along with a couple of beers and sodas. A box of wings sat off to the side, also fresh.
"How, ah, is Garfield doing these days, anyway? I've mostly avoided him since that incident with my Mothmobile and Batgirl's Batcycle." Garfield had been in his own vehicle that night, literally trying to set Gotham on fire while Batgirl had been chasing after Killer Moth for a heist gone wrong. He hadn't expected to run into Garfield, and the whole night had...well. Gone up in flames.
((OOC: Nooooo! Please don't apologize! Slow burn is SO TOTALLY fine! You have a ton on your plate right now, so please, please don't worry about it!))
"You want me to answer as a friend or as a professional?" She laughed. Then again given her costumed life now her professional career was probably over.
"He's...okay. He's got his good days and his bad day. Right now I think he's on a good bend but you know when he gets a bad day it hits him hard. Fire is like a distraction from his life. But he's gotten a little motel room on the wharf and he's talking to his sister again so I think he's getting better."
Sally stopped petting Missy and reached for a soda to open and drink.
